Can I use a Suno song commercially in a film or game?

The short answer

Check the exact track and its download entitlement, not just whether you now pay for Suno. The current September 2026 guidance ties commercial use to paid-subscriber downloads; Remix restrictions still apply.

A practical workflow

  1. Record the song ID, creation and download dates, plan and applicable terms. Keep evidence with the delivered audio master.

  2. For an older free-tier song, verify the permitted download and any special restrictions before promising commercial rights to a client. Ask support about unresolved cases.

  3. Inventory lyrics, uploaded recordings and collaborators separately; put the intended film, game, territories and uses in the clearance record.

Before you publish

A Suno commercial license is not a guarantee of copyright protection or acceptance by another platform. Do not apply this summary to restricted Remixes.
